Who is The Balunguy

The Balunguy is a central Pennsylvania based entertainer.
In 2001 a young man named Tony and his lovely wife Wendy were expecting a child in July, their first and only child. One fateful day in April Wendy started having some issues and so we went to the local medical facility and after a few failed interventions a beautiful little girl was born. She was born at 26 weeks and weighed just 1lbs 13oz. She spent a total of 75 days in the NICU but after about 30 days another family transferred from another hospital and that's when things got crazy. We started talking with this family and found out the father was a balloon artist which intrigued Tony because he was always interested in artsy things. So after a little convincing from his wife he sat down with John in the lobby of Women and Babies in Lancaster and in about 2 hours learned the basics behind this new and interesting craft. Little did Tony know that lesson would blossom into what it is today. What started out as a man with a passion for latex has turned into a multi faceted, multi person company.
To date, their beautiful little girl isn't so little any more and is a miracle. She has no lasting effects of being born so prematurely and has done nothing but astonish the medical community. She has also joined into the family business stepping into help whenever she can.
Sadly, a few years ago John was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Just before his passing he sat down with his wife and requested Tony to make balloons for his funeral instead of having flowers. One of the deepest honors and saddest days when his mentor, friend, inspiration had passed.
